John Galliano continued the story of Count and Hen, the fugitives from Cinema Inferno, through a younger generation’s treatment of inherited clothes. Bias-cut dresses were cut and adapted into rompers; formal menswear and couture conventions became material for personal alteration.

Pendleton fabrics, tulle, reshaped shirts and improvised-looking headwear built a wardrobe between punk and romance. Presented in the house’s new premises, the collection connected the experimentation of the Artisanal atelier with ready-to-wear. Its central subject was the act of getting dressed: how haste, memory and adjustment give an existing garment a different life.
