Jonathan Anderson placed the collection in a green gallery containing eighteen paintings by Albert York. Small landscapes and still lifes framed an investigation of provenance, collecting and the objects through which wealth describes itself.

Materials repeatedly disguised their identities: carved wood became a coat collar, miniature beadwork evoked decorative surfaces, and botanical forms migrated onto clothing and bags. Tailcoats, flowing dresses and expansive trousers moved between formal and casual codes. The details invite a second reading, because a familiar-looking object may be produced through an unexpectedly laborious technique. The conversation between ordinary imagery and extraordinary workmanship gives the collection its distinct character.
